An Uber-like carrier connecting woman riders and drivers is
launching in Boston following a
rebranding and management trade.
Safr says it will begin its carrier next week on an
invitation-only basis. It plans to open to the wider Boston-region public
beginning March 1.
The organisation attracted attention closing spring whilst
founder Michael Pelletz announced its release as Chariot for ladies. the
previous Uber motive force has in view that transferred control of the company
to other executives.
The idea, which is also being evolved with the aid of a new
york city-based employer, has faced questions about whether or not it runs
afoul of anti-discrimination laws.
A Safr spokeswoman tells the Boston Globe the corporation is
"conscious" of the issues and is operating with its prison advisers
to ensure it's in compliance.
